Episode 3: In Our Pet Parent Era (Modern Companion’s Version)
Jackie Ray is a regular customer at Modern Companion Pet Boutique who loves all things Taylor Swift. She’s a pet lover with a background in rescue at Pawmetto Lifeline in Columbia, SC. Today she works in healthcare but her love for Taylor Swift and pets remains.
Jackie and Maddie discuss their pets, including Jackie’s Golden Retriever and her Tabby Cat.
Jackie shares that she discovered her love for Taylor Swift later in life when her music started to really resonate with Jackie. They talk about how Taylor helps them through tough feelings and voices them well.
Jackie discusses her Eras tour concert in Atlanta and how wonderful the Swiftie community was to see in person. Maddie shares her jealousy over not having attended Eras yet but reminisces over the two shows she was able to attend. Jackie shares a personal story about Taylor and the care she has for the community around her.

Maddie discusses the story behind Modern Companion’s popular Taylor Swift inspired pet collections. She details the process behind creating the popular Eras print and shirts, the unexpectedly massive launch, and the Swiftie party that followed. She talks about how much the collection has grown since that first launch and how cat stickers are paving the way for even more Swiftie products in the future. Jackie talks about how Maddie and the team dug through bins to find more of the sold out product for her from the original launch.
Maddie talks about the experience of hosting a Swiftie themed party at the retail store, including the hours spent making a balloon display for every era. She shares how the livestream helped the online community join in on the fun and how electrifying the energy at the party was. She also talks about the upcoming Drool Summer party on August 10th.
